Where to Request Records
WCSO sends case requests through its Public Records Center. A request should identify the agency, court, record type, approximate date, and case or citation number when known. For Reno Justice, use the court's research or copy form. Sparks Justice uses its Public Records Request Form and routes criminal and citation requests to SJCCriminal@washoecounty.gov.
Reno Police records use the City of Reno public-records system. The Police Records general number is (775) 334-2155 extension 0, and the public-records request line is (775) 657-4639. Sparks Police Records is (775) 353-2279, but a warrant-status question belongs with the originating municipal or justice court.
Records requests can produce a copy or an access decision. They do not recall, quash, or clear a warrant.
Not a Government Office
Washoe County Warrant Records is privately operated. It has no access to court accounts, WCSO systems, city marshal systems, or Nevada DMV records. It cannot accept bail, schedule a hearing, take a surrender, or provide legal advice. Use an official court or agency contact for any answer that affects a person's liberty, payment, court date, or case.
Recent Second Judicial District and WCSO warnings describe fake court messages that demand gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or phone payment. Do not use a number from an unexpected message. Open the official court or sheriff site and call the published number.
